Why so many /usr/sbin/console-kit-daemon --no-daemon in htop?

Hey guys. I'm fairly new to GNU/Linux. I figured a good way to learn would be to build the Debian netinstall from scratch and learn as I go.

Here's a question... why, in htop, are there so many "/usr/sbin/console-kit-daemon --no-daemon" processes running?

I'm currently using 34/1000MB of my RAM.

I don't know, but I think it's normal.
