why isnt there any program that is currently running in the taskbar?


why isnt there any program that is currently running in the taskbar when i open a program..... for example....i click terminal.... the terminal window is in the screen but it isnt in the taskbar?
hmmmmm please help....

When you minimize it, it should be on taskbar. X programs in general use taskbar. But not all programs are from X. Use 'ps aux' and see how many programs you have in your system. It may not be a good idea to have them all on taskbar. But that's offtopic.

uhmmm i mean this is a problem...
because yesterday... the programs were there when you open it..
but now.. it isnt there..
hmmmm

Strange. Graphical programs should always appear in the task bar. Did you change something?

yes... i removed mozilla and galeon... hmmmmmm
will it really affect gnome desktop?

Maybe you removed (or moved somewhere) the script that makes the taskbar? Look into taskbar options.

Try doing this: right click on your panel (in microsoft terms, the taskbar), point to add to panel, utility, and click window list. Does this work?
