Why can't I access my downloads.

Ok guys I just bought this laptop yesterday. I have never used the PCLinuxOS operating system before. I downloaded by limewire music player. It asked me to open the download with ARK. I am not sure what that means but it successfully completed the download and I don't know how to open it. If you could help me out that would be outstanding. Thank you.

Ark is an application for creating or opening archives, i.e. .zip .rar .bz2 tar.gz etc. If what you downloaded is a compressed archive, right click it and look for extract... options in the menu. Or double click the archive and it should open up in ark, you'll see some extraction options in the application.

Or you can take this opportunity to learn some basic CLI. Uncompressing files is one of the most basic UNIX commands, and it's much faster and more efficient than using any GUI program.
