Which kernel for Xen VPS

Hello,

which kernel should I start on my VPS ?

el5 or el5xen ?

Unless your VPS is running on xen you do not need the xen-kernel.
What does

Code:

uname -r

say?

bash-3.2# uname -r
2.6.18-194.3.1.el5xen

But I don't know if el5xen is the right kernel to run, that's why I ask.

Take contact with your hoster and find out, if they are using Xen for Virtualization. If so - you need a xenkernel.
Otherwise you don't. It doesn't hurt, though.
