Not completley sure, but I wouldn't go with that one because the 6800 isn't an FX card. What are your other choices ?

Sounds like you need the nvidia driver - not sure what the routine in FC3 is tho.

Well the standard detection is Vesa ... I also have a Geforce 6800 GT OC.. you can get the 6229 drivers from nvidia with opengl support from the here http://www.nvidia.com/object/linux_d..._1.0-6629.html

I just assumed you have something like a P4 or AMD chip that isn't 64bit. Theres other helpful links in these forums to get those drivers installed. The readme file kinda sucks and isn't that great for a beginner. Biggest thing I can tell you once you install those drivers...

edit: gedit /etc/X11/xorg.conf

delete Load DRI

scroll down to where you find Video0 ....
You'll see Vesa or nv as your driver...change that to plain ol' nvidia ...

thats the quickest way to get part of it on there. Thats not all of it...so like I said check the forums.
