Where does a software gets installed?


I ran a command yum install sendmail.Now I want to read the readme file for the same and where actually has the software been installed but I cannot find the path.I have to configure the configuration file for which I am following the instructions in This pdf.

If it is yum installation, this command will give you the path to readme file.
