Hi, can anybody shed light on this; When I go to install updates on my Mint 17
system I get this warning.
WARNING:
You about to install software that can't be authenticated! Doing this could
allow a malicious individual to damage or take control of your system.
NOT AUTHENTICATED
To be unchanged

What are the packages in question and have you added any new repositories lately? If so and you know which one it is and you don't need/use it, please see the solution here.
If not and you need to identify the repository in question, please see here and here.
I installed Dnscrypt sometime ago and now thats starting to cause some sort of problem. Thats the only PPA installed.

Ok, just go into Synaptic, then click on "Settings," then "Repositories." When the window for that comes up, click on the "Other Software" tab and then uncheck the repository in question. Be sure to click on the "Reload" button" on the main window if Synaptic doesn't reload the information beforehand.
