What Linux version to use for an old laptop (Acer Aspire 1300)?
Hello all,
I hope I am in the right section of this forum. If not, please let me know.
I am completely new to Linux.
I have an old laptop. Acer Aspire 1300. I am not 100% sure of the technical specs but it looks like this:
CPU: Duron, Athlon XP, Athlon XP-M - 1.2 GHz - RAM: 128 MB, 256 MB
I would like to install Linux on this laptop to try this OS and see how it works but I do not know which version of Linux I should use for this old laptop. There are many variants so I am a bit lost. Win XP got corrupted so I can overwrite everything on the hard disk.
What version should I use? Do I need a driver for internet LAN connectivity? If I do, where can I find it?
Right now, I just want to try Linux for internet browsing.
Thanks in advance for your help.
