According to the link from berndbausch, the machine came with 512MB RAM, but can be maxed out to 2GB.

Maxing out the RAM would likely be a good idea.

As far as the processor goes, it's comparable to my X31 which runs Xubuntu. The important question is the RAM. If you have 512 MB, then you can (just about) run MX Linux, which I would certainly recommend if you have 1 GB. But it might be better with 512 to use AntiX, and that's really your only option if you have 256 MB.
