webmin help!!!

I am at my whits end trying to get webmin to display from the web! I access via the system via its IP:10000 or hostname:10000 but I continue to get the error message "the page cannot be displayed" in the browser window.

I have installed webmin v. 0.94-1 on redhat linux 7.2 running on an HP pentium processor. I have started webmin using /etc/webmin/start. I have checked that the system is listening on port 10000 using netstat -na and it is listening on tcp and udp. The perl path is correct (usr/bin/perl). I have set the host to the host name and host ip in /etc/webmin/miniserv.conf, but neither has allowed webmin to work.

Since webmin is supposed to "just work", I must have something, fundamentally simple, messed up. Any help or guidance will be greatly appreciated as I have spent weeks on this and have gotten nowhere!

unknown webmin problem

I'm not running HTTPS, but I did try it and get the same results with webmin. It's as if it's trying to find a directory or page but can't get to it. I wonder if it's a permission's problem.

Regards.

webmin solution

Interestingly enough, my firewall setting for Redhat 7.2 was set to high. When I turned the firewall off, webmin works. I don't know what part of the firewall kept me from accessing webmin, but it now works.
