Webcams


How do I find a webcam that will run on Ubuntu ?

almost any kind of Webcam can work on Ubuntu....You have to install cheese for webcam client....
If a webcam is famous enough then greater are the chances that it will work without a hassle ....
Try not to pickup a rare WebCam ....

UVC devices are usually a good bet and they use the uvcvideo driver. A list of devices supported by that driver can be found here.
