I am a newcomer to linux and I have RH9 and am using Gnome. My problem is that when I open Mozilla I do not have a 'file Edit' etc toolbar......I have all this when I am root and all seems well. I have tried using KDE, new user and reinstalling Mozilla....any suggestions?

now I have noticed that with Mozilla Mail I get no popup when I click Edit>Preferences
I am so wanting to get a Linux system werking right....I recently got some virus/spyware thingy on my windows install ......eeew
My head tells me that the overall problem with the Mozilla thing might have something to do with my not being loged as root.....like when I am loged in my user acount it acess files that might be 'restricted' root files so I am unable to alter them.....any ideas????

Are all your permissions set properly??? (Just a thought, probably wont help, but just a thought)

tell me more about permisions....I checked the options whilst loged as root under acounts and gave every 'Group' to my main user account....nothing....
boo hoo I cant really cross over until I can get it all set up so I can teach my Gal
