vsftp large file uploads fail

I have fedora core 2 running with vsftp. I can download all files ok, and upload small files up to about 100mb.

When I am uploading large files, 400mb or more, it starts ok but then fails to complete. Sometimes it will get as far as 80% then quits.

I am using a windows 2000 workstation with ftp surfer. It works fine if I upload from the same workstation to another ftp site (windows based).

Any suggestions?

Make sure your Win 2k FTP SERVER dose not have a time constraint for connections and possibly inactivity

Like I mentioned, it works fine from the Workstation to a windows ftp site, but fails from the same workstation to the linux vsftpd site.
