vncserver?

hey,
I'm trying to start a vnc server remotely over ssh. I usually type vncserver which gives me a gui and a konsole to type in commands. This is actually enough, just that every time I accidentally minimize a program, I can't restore it again (=I have to kill it and type in aggain). Do I need a windows manager for this?
Is it also possible to have vnc session with fluxbox?

thanks,
-sunpascal

Yes, a windowmanager makes things alot easier. Once you have that single xterm open, just type:
Code:
fluxbox &
And you shall have a windowmanager (:

I get a message saying I already have a window manager running.
Can I kill that one? Which one ist it?
Also, is there a way to make vnc load a default wm (ie fluxbox)?

sorry,
I don't know much about this

Well, I think vnc by default runs twm. You can always check the process list and kill the wm.

vncserver does have startup scripts but I cannot remember where theyre located. Thats where its defined what is started..
