You have a problem with dependencies. You have to get these as well as the vlc file itself.
You can visit rpm.pbone.net which has a java dependency plugin that will work out the dependencies for you.

Also, you can add extra repositories that have vlc in them and this will allow you to install vlc with dependencis fixed.

There are two ways to proceed so far as the key is concerned. Either get the key which is a short file that is used to confirm that the package you are installing really is the vlc package and not some adapted one. This is usually available from the cource you got the program.

OR

edit /etc/yum.conf and comment out the gpgcheck=1 line

do this by putting a # symbol at the start of the line

then

yum localinstall yourvlcrpm.rpm

VLC for EL 6

http://www.videolan.org/vlc/download-redhat.html

http://apt.sw.be/redhat/el6/en/i386/...l6.rf.i686.rpm
# rpm -Uvh rpmforge-release-0.5.2-2.el6.rf.i686.rpm

# yum install --nogpgcheck vlc
( Or # yum localinstall --nogpgcheck vlc-1.1.11-1.el6.rf.i686.rpm ).

I don't think, you can install the 41 dependencies manually.

word of warning and caution on RHEL6
BEFORE YOU INSTALL ANY THIRD PARTY REPO
install and configure "yum-priorities " and "yum-protectbase" and CONFIGURE THEM !!!

The repos that hold the video and music programs are not completely compatible with RHN

You can very VERY easily FUBAR a install VERY FAST getting videos and music to play

normal case
No updates will ever install ever again.
worst case
It will never boot again.

To install the two yum tools you MUST have a active and paid for support license !!!

PLEASE NEVER post "text speak "

RHEL6 is NOT free you MUST BUY A LICENSE !!!!
that key is a security signature
