virtual ftp user not working !!


Hi and sadly ,
I have configured ftp server and could add virtual ftp users too !!
virtual ftp users as test@example.com and test@sysally.com with a common password. . i can login usting ftp but both users are showing same directory apart i could set it different for each users. .
Where is the fault ?
this is /etc/vsftpd/vsftpd.conf
guest_enable=YES
virtual_use_local_privs=YES
user_sub_token=$test@example.com
local_root=/home/user1/gg/
user_sub_token=$test@sysally.com
local_root=/home/user2/hh/
pam_service_name=vsftpd
userlist_enable=YES
tcp_wrappers=YES

That's now quite how /etc/vsftpd/vsftpd.conf works.

Did you create .db file from virtual users .txt file which have credentials?
I am not able to see following attribute in your conf file

user_config_dir=/etc/vsftpd
You have used this attribute
Quote:
pam_service_name=vsftpd
Did you create file vsftpd in /etc/pam.d with valid "auth required " details?

Comment the line
Quote:
local_root=/home/user1/gg/
After commenting this line, each user will not log into this directory.
Restart vsftpd.

Now each user should be able to log into in its home directory.
