viewing konsole in KATE on Ubuntu

I am trying to view the Konsole in Ubuntu. I installed Konsole, and am able to start it up by typing "Konsole" in the terminal. I am not sure if I am opening up the Konsole properly in Kate though - I clicked on Current project, and there is just gray space below the text area.

So I did some quick digging and found that kate has a konsole plugin that needs to be installed / activated. Settings -> configure Kate -> plugins -> terminal tool view should get konsole integrated with kate.
