Using the Linux Mint (17.2 Cinnamon) to create a boot flash drive with persistence

I am trying to create a boot Linux Mint 17.2 (with Cinnamon desktop) flash drive. Not being a Linux command line guru, I would like to use the GUI. I don't seem to be able to find a program that works much like the Windows Universal USB Installer. I can easily create the non-persistent version from the available programs that came with Mint. Is there something else? If there is a terminal command line, okay, but I hope it's simple. I can do that easily enough with Windows, but am trying to get away from Windows in all respects.

Unetbootin, see the link below. If you are now using a Linux system make sure you get the correct download as there are versions for Linux, windows and Mac. Read through the instructions, pretty simple.

Thumbs up Got it!

Thanks for the great directions. I used the terminal and everything worked perfectly. Turns out that is also downloadable as an app, but--you have to know what to search for and I had no idea. Thanks again.
