Using konqueror as a browser and file manager.

Hi all
I'm Using konqueror as a browser and file manager.
When I'm using it as a file-manager I like my pictures to open with GQview.
I dont like it opening in the Konqueror preview.
So I found a jpg went to edit file type and removed the embedded viewer.
I might have been a bit hasty here...
When I'm on the net I click a jpg (to get a larger view) and a box opens up asking me to save it.
I just want it to open in Konqueror
I cannot find the embedded viewer in the edit file type box.
The only 'Embedded' ones are Embedded advanced text editor
amd Embedded adavanced applet viewer
Or is it a setting in Konqueror that needs changing.

Hi.

You should be able to add an embedded viewer.
Try opening a Konqueror window and going to 'Configure Konqueror' in the 'Settings' menu.
Go to 'File Associations' the click open 'Image' then 'jpeg' then go to the 'Embedding' tab.

There should be an 'Add' button next to the list of embedded viewers. The KView Image Viewer (I think that's what it's called anyway) should be in there.

Incidentally, I don't think it's possible to make Konqueror open files one way when it's acting as a browser, and have it open files a different way when it's acting as a file manager.
