Exclamation Using Code::Block IDE to develop C/C++ project, error: Permission Denied

I am using Code Block to develop a C/C++ project and I can not even compile the project.

The IDE call g++ and it gave me "Permission Denied" error.

I understand that I am not root user.

So I open the terminal and type "su -"

I entered the root password.

I close the Code block, open it again, and try to compile the project, but the "Permission denied" error still there.

I use PCLinuxOS.

Can anybody help on that so that I can use this IDE as a root user.

Thanks,

Smile I got it.

I did have gcc and g++.

I go to terminal to do "su -" and password.

And in the same terminal, i launched "codeblocks", and it works. this way, it's like runnig the program with root previlege. now i can compile/debug my "Hello World".

Thank you for all your help. I believe I will have more problem down the road with Linux.

run a make clan and fix the file permission of your source file,
or change the locations of your project into a folder where you have permissions,
this is a better option than working as root
