Using 32 bit software on 64 bit Kantonix

Hi,

This may sound like a stupid question. Can you install and run Linux Software on a 64bit machine running Kantonix if it was intended for 32bit linux?

The distro has Klik? on board as an installer but when you choose some software through it it always says

"sorry this software does not work on 64bit systems"

I am particularly interested in running K-3D and a number of Linux Games just for starters.

I read somewhere that I need to port any 32bit software. Sounds way too complicated.

Any Ideas?

Rahish

You could try installing the ia32-libs package to see if it/they will work then, this worked for me to run the 32bit setiathome software.

Edit: Another idea is setting up a chroot install of a 32bit flavor of Kanotix/Debian if you want to try this then start reading here.
