userrights have changed?

Hello Cracks,

I'm a newbie und suddenly some strange things happen to our linux red hat.

Since one week we are not able to write on our server (only "root" can).

Our Website is hosted on this linux-sever and so people can not upload pictures via php/html anymore.

We had this problme some time ago, but i fixed it by simply reboot the server. But this seems not to work anymore, because I rebooted it 5 times without fixing the problem.

Question: where can I look at the userrights for directorys?

Normally we work on our server via "Webmin". Can I see the userrights there?

Thank you very much for your help,

gb5256

Most people here know the command line the best, but someone may know webmin. If you can hget to a command line, do "ls -ld <directory you are trying to upload to>" (no quotes). You'll get a long listing of the directory, including permissions. You might want to Google around a Unix newbie guide for help in understanding the results.
