I am a new ubuntu user. I installed ubuntu by windows installer for ubuntu. My question is I can access only the directories such as documnts, my music, etc. I want to access the other drives in this laptop like c or d drive. How can I access them. It will be very helpful for me.

This is not urgent to us. Please edit your post and give it some meaningful title, for example: Access Windows partitions in Ubuntu.

Which version of Ubuntu have you installed? (eg. 10.04 / 10.10 / 11.04, 12.04, etc)?

If you open a file manager in Ubuntu, you should see your Windows partitions on the left hand side. You should be able to browse them to find the directories you want.
