I have a laptop with FC3 which i am keen on upgrading but i dont have a CD drive. I was wondering if anyone has sucessfully tried upgrading to Fedora Core 4 ysing just the YUM repos ?? the method is at http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/YumUpgradeFaq
sorry i dont come with your answers! lol
if your upgrading, might as well get FC5, it just came out!
i would think you could simply modify the repositories that yum looks in, and set them to be from the FC5 series, then update/upgrade the entire system.. that should bring you to basically FC5.
anyways, my real motive for posting is that i noticed your from windsor! me too! what school did you go to if you dont mind me asking?
FC5 eh, gonna have to wait for some tutorials to come out then.
im an Electrical engineering student at the University mate, what abt you ? its great to run into another linux-windsorite, there are soo many of us around
