up2date fedora core 2
Group,
Well, I offically feel like a complete and utter moron. I've forgotten more than I can remember. Anyway I'm a newbie again and I'm having some issues with the core 2 version of Fedora specifically with up2date after upgrading to the newest version.
It does not lauch and gives an error:
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "/usr/sbin/up2date', line 12 in ?
import rpm
ImportError: /usr/lib/python2.3/site-packages/rpmmodule.so: undefined symbol: rpmdsBT
The directory structure is there, I'm guessing it's a version miss match of some sort. If that is the case, where do I get the updated RPM's for the install being it's a Core 2 Test version of the OS?
It looks like I have an old RPM Install, but when I try to update it rpm -U *.rpm I get the following error.
error: setexeccon(root:staff_r:rpm_script_t) fails from context "root:staff_r:staff_r"; Invalid argument
error: %pre(rpm-4.3.1-0.2) scriptlet failed, exit status 255
error: install: %pre scriptlet failed (2), skipping rpm-4.3.1-0.2
I know it's a somewhat obvious item but i've been away from LINUX for over half a decade now and only used command line before no GUI.
Thanks much.
