Question uninterruptible power supply

Hi chaps,
What's the afordable uninterruptible power supply would you recommend to run with a little debian server ? ( if possible in Europe )

( I mean with the possibility for the server to switch off automatically when uninterruptible power supply running low in energy. )

Regards,
Pierre

"affordable" is pretty subjective!
What is your budget?
"<snip>... the server to switch off automatically when uninterruptible power supply running low in energy."
- How long do you want it to run for?

You would choose a UPS by the sever's power supply requirments, then by the UPS's capacity. This will give you amount of time it will last.
If your sever needs 400 W, then a 4KVA UPS should last about 10 hours.
Cost (EUR*) is generally directly proportional to Power (KVA)...
(* or whatever your local currency is)

In fact, an UPS 400 VA is suffisant to me and is quite affordable at the moment.
I know there are Software generaly provided with the uninterruptible power supply ( USB or COM link ) , but for M$ only.
I was wondering if one of them does match with a linux distro like debian.

Check out apcupsd at www.apcupsd.com. It works on my Slackware boxes.
