Unablt to boot Linux after installing on my AlienWare M11x - R3
I have tried two different distribution of linux to install on my USB Sticks (by using VirtualBox on windows)
One is Fedora 17 Beta and the second one is Linux Mint 201204 LMDE .
After installation I confirmed that both distibutions installed correctly and both boot properly on one of my old Notebooks
But when I use those (both) Linux USB Sticks on my AlienWare M11x-R3 o directly boot from I just see:
GRUB Loading
Welcome to GRUB
.....
Nothing happens and the system freezes.
I am not sure is there any problem with Hybrid graphic cards (One is Intel Sandy Bridge i7 and other is NVIDIA GTX-540M) I addition I have tried to change the grub boot loader to text mode nothing happened.
Is there any problem with ACPI of NOAPIC,....
I got no errors at all to search for and the system just freezes after "Welcome to GRUB"
Is there and method to directly boot linux from USB Stick without installing GRUB.
Thanks
