Unable to open PDF on Suse Linux?


To whom it may concern

I just reimage my machine and try to open a Adobe Acrobat PDF file on the internet..
when I click on it nothing happens....I do have Adobe Acrobat 7.0 on my Suse machine

On the bottom of the web link it says done but nothin happens in my screen!

Thanks ....

Which browser are you using, which DE/WM are you using?

It's most likely NOT an Acrobat issue but a question of whether
you have a plugin for your browser to handle PDFs or not.

I have the same problem with Suse 10 on a fresh install on my laptop. I'll post a solution when I find one.

I Open FireFox Brownser
click on preference
click on Downloads
click on Plugins to open
PDF file extension was enable ... I Double click too disable it ...
click ok to save

Now I when back to the PDF file on the internet and I click on it ...
Now I get a box that prompt me as to how I want to open PDF file with Adobe Acrobat

Problem resolved, I get prompt to open PDF file with Adobe Acrobat ...

Thanks everybody for all their help ...

wow tat was good & simple
but do we hav to do tat every time
wat to do to make the firefox browser use the Adome PDf reader by default
