Unable to handle kernel paging


I am using red hat linux 9.0
using kernel 2.4-20.8

One day , I find that I can't telnet , ftp to the computer because of the linux can;t fork(), so I use the computer locally, I find that, It can't display anything
So, I restart the computer

After restart, I can't start linux
The below is the error

after this error come out, I can't do anything, the caps lock light and scroll locks light keep flashing. I have test the computer with different ram. But still face the same problem.

Can anyone please kindly help me to locate the problem?

Have you run memtest on the system? It is probably some sort of hardware problem, but you can also boot off of a LiveCD and see if it's still unstable. It could be a sign of something bad on your motherboard/CPU if a LiveCD is unstable.
