Just three days ago I re-installed Ubuntu 10.4 (it had become unstable - thanks to this Newbie; fiddling where he should not) Anyway all went ok and this morning I downlaoded all the updates via rhe update manager (366 files and around 200m), in preparation for upgrading to V10.10. I have installed GParted via the "help" file. (it gave me a link and I took it)

So now I am about to download and install 10.10 - Does anybody have any advice - before I take the plunge ?

Aaah posting an off topic "ubuntu" question in the thread titled "downloading gparted", marked "Solved", with "137+" replies and still you expect someone to ...

How about creating a new thread for a new question with a nice title?
anyways it is always preferred to search Google with the following keywords before trying something new:
