It's the configuration I use in Gentoo Gnome and Gentoo KDE no-multilib.

My laptop can boot to either Nvidia or Intel, not Optimus. I could never get rendering with both Graphics devices letting X11 take care of things in the KDE 64bit. I have a systemd unit that runs a script early in the boot process that pumps this configuration file in place if the Vendor/Hardware ID of the Nvidia Graphics is found, and if the Intel configuration is in there it gets deleted. Vice versa if the Intel Vendor/Hardware ID is found early in the boot process.

This gives me great rendering with either Graphics device, and I can adjust brightness with FN combination keys.
