ubuntu unable to locate package cuda


hello,i just installed ubuntu 18.04 and trying to install cuda, i just installed the right drivers for my graphics card but when i sudo apt-get install cuda, i get the error E: Unable to locate package cuda.I checked the questions about this matter online but nothing did it for me.

you can search for packages here: https://packages.ubuntu.com/ even if you don't know the real name of that package.

You should be able to download the deb file from nvidia

https://developer.nvidia.com/cuda-downloads

and do a

`sudo dpkg -i cuda-repo-ubuntu1604-9-2-local_9.2.148-1_amd64.deb`
`sudo apt-key add /var/cuda-repo-<version>/7fa2af80.pub`
`sudo apt-get update`
`sudo apt-get install cuda`

and it will add the repo then.

I don't think cuda is a single package. Try 'apt-cache search cuda'.
