TV-out black bars problem


hi there all - complete newbie here and need advice please...
have tried copule of linux distro on a p3-650 pc connected to my widescreen PAL TV through the svideo output on a ati radeon 7000. It works fine in XP but when i tried Geexbox and slackware (and another one which i cant remember) it shows with black bars on the top, bottom and a large one on the right. any ideas how to make it work?

There is many a post on those subject, do a search on LQ for tv-out. Its just to configure ur X configuration done properly, if after searching u still have issue, reply by posting ur xorg.conf.
To do so, open and editor ( kwrite ) and open /etc/X11/xorg.conf then cut and past it.
