Maybe some of the links in my signature will help. Try Linux Newbie Help, Linux Documentation Project. You could also check out Linux Mint, Ubuntu and maybe even Debian Documentation. Might be a good idea though to start with the link provided above by Repo if you get overwhelmed with all this information.

Hi Ben,

I would be great if you could mention the name of your distribution (eg: Ubuntu, Arch, Mepis, Fedora). There are a great many tutorials, but you will be best served by one written to your distribution.

What do you want to do that you feel you need a tutorial for? Modern Linux desktops have much in common with Windows and Mac desktops. Most are very easy to get started with, and intuitive enough for beginners to learn quickly.

This is a bash tutorial for beginners:

Which will come handy on any linux distribution. Other than that, you'd have to specify a distribution you're using.
