Hi,

how did you (or whoever) make the proxy you are trying to use? It looks like it doesn't exist.

I found out that vidalia control panel > message log says
Jun 24 11:52:26.039 [Notice] Socks listener listening on port 43318.

So editing server_port to 43318 worked.

Thank you.

Hi,

you could do a port scan:
Code:
nmap localhost
Evo2.

I tried
Code:
# netstat -tulpn | grep -i tor
tcp 0 0 127.0.0.1:58898 0.0.0.0:* LISTEN 30146/tor
tcp 0 0 127.0.0.1:43318 0.0.0.0:* LISTEN 30146/tor
Also
Code:
# nmap localhost

Starting Nmap 5.51 ( http://nmap.org ) at 2013-06-24 14:30 IST
Nmap scan report for localhost (127.0.0.1)
Host is up (0.0000050s latency).
Other addresses for localhost (not scanned): 127.0.0.1
Not shown: 995 closed ports
PORT STATE SERVICE
22/tcp open ssh
25/tcp open smtp
111/tcp open rpcbind
631/tcp open ipp
5298/tcp open presence

Nmap done: 1 IP address (1 host up) scanned in 0.11 seconds
