Question Trying to view the contents of ioports - am I on the right track?

I am running VMware Ubuntu Knoppix and trying to find the command I would use to view the contents of the ioports file. I'm not even for sure if it will show up on my version. Would I use cat ioports OR /proc/ioports OR am I heading in the wrong direction?
