whenever i try to enable my bluetooth device in my toshiba M200,it gives error as shown below.

remo_mein05@remomein05-Toshiba:~$ toshset
required kernel toshiba support not enabled.

I'm newbie here.My system uses Ubuntu 9.10 64 bit.So,can anyone help in this since i started to like ubuntu very much n tiz error bugging me 2 much.

Try inserting the toshiba module first:

sudo modprobe toshiba
sudo toshset bluetooth on

There may be some newer way to do this without having to use toshset.

It appears that the toshiba module is no longer loaded automatically by the kernel, since much of the functionality is handled through the newer toshiba_acpi (and using the more general power configuration acpitool). But I can't see any interface in /proc/acpi/toshiba to enable the bluetooth power.

I don't think that having both toshiba and toshiba_acpi modules loaded will be a problem.

i'm using linux mint 10.pls help me turn on bluetooth in my toshiba m200 laptop...
