Themes / Styles / GTK+ / Metacity / Sawfish? Confused by terminology...
Hi everyone,
I'm new to Linux (surprised it [Fedora 10] installed without a hassle). I've been bored lately and was browsing various themes for GNOME online. I know GNOME's default window manager is Metacity, so I started looking for Metacity themes. Long story short, I didn't like any of the themes I found for it but I found one that was labelled GTK 2.x. I downloaded it, and when I tried to install it, it said it wasn't a valid theme. I don't know what the problem is, but my main question is this. I thought Metacity was based on or written with GTK+ so why wouldn't a GTK theme work on it? Also is there any difference between a theme and a style, because for some reason a theme a did download only changed the window borders but not the color scheme or icons or anything.
Idk, I'm just confused and a little pissed, lol. Any help clarifying terms or what I should do would be greatly greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
