the group list was invalid


hi everybody,
i have created file.repo and i was able install using yum command from my local repo but when i go to system > administration > add/remove software, the group list was invalid occurs and in detail tab Failed to get groups list: No Groups Available in any repository, what does this mean actually can anybody guide me i'll be greatful any kinds of suggestions are accepted.

If you examine your distro's repo, you will see that software is arranged by groups (Utilities, System, Programming, Games, and so on). In preparing your local repo list, you have left out the group information.

thankx bigrigdriver for your reply,
actually iam using my local repo. i haver user createrrepo -v ./Packages command to create my local repo so how can i merge in my group in my local repo.
