Ok.. I know this isn't good.. But what exactly does it mean.. And show do I get around it when installing something??

Does anyone have any reference to material discussing installing software on Linux?

1 it can be that it is not the original package
2 can be that something went wrong during downloading and the checksum doesn't match.

where and when does it say that?
