Terminal in Debian (Lenny)

Hi everyone!

Is there a way to possibly launch a terminal by using a keyboard shortcut? Thanks!

I think so, but it's probably dependent on the window manager/desktop you're using. What are you using - kde, gnome, icewm, etc?

If you use the standard Gnome environment their should be a program called keyboard shortcuts in your preferences menu. If it is not there you have to use the GConf-editor. In this article is explained how to do that.

YES! It's a GNOME environment. I will check out the keyboard shortcuts in the preferences menu. Thank you guys!

there are many options.
if you're using gnome try guake which is a drop-down terminal (F10, IIRC).
You can also define your own keyboard shortcuts to launch a terminal, either via gnome or using xbindkeys.
