telnet problem

Hi all;

I am using SUSE Linux Enterprise Server SP2. I have enabled telnet on this machine. But when I telnet the machine and enter the "root" user and its password, the message "Login Incorrect" appears, although the credential is true. Aslo, I have not problem with any other users, just root.

Can anyone help me?

Thanks

Telnet is insecure, and should not be used.
Use ssh instead.

Cool! Took mine back in '06 and retook the exam this year with the '09 objectives. Waiting to hear the results back from the second exam in August or so (the exam was in beta when I took it).

Also, most distros have root login via telnet disabled (at least that has been my experience anyway). Unless I am connecting to my BBS, I use SSH for remote access to the server.
