Wink tcpdump: can't create rx ring on packet socket: Cannot allocate memory

Hi folks,

I had tried to run below mentioned command on CentOS6.0, but I failed to run.

# tcpdump -i eth0 -vv port 110
tcpdump: can't create rx ring on packet socket: Cannot allocate memory

and at the same time I tried this command which run successfully :

# tcpdump -i eth0 -vv port 22

Thanks in advance.

At first glance this looks like a problem with the kernel or libpcap (something about mmap fall back options), so start by checking if the packages in CentOS 6.4 fix things (yes, you're upgrades behind) and listing specifics like HW and exact versions of kernel, libpcap, tcpdump.
