I am running Peanut linux which I like very much so far. It's really fun learning all the new stuff. Anyway my questions are as follows.
1. My computer is solely set up for Linux. I have a 340M hard drive and that's it. Also a floppy and cdrom. Now, in order to tar something onto my system, can I just download to a floppy and go from there? I have the upgrade I want to install on a floppy but I don't know how to get it into the system. Do I have to mount the floppy and go from there?

2. Can't get the sound or ethernet to work either. Tried the setup deal for the ethernet but it didn't recognize the card and as for sound, there is no sndconfig command found??
Anyway, any suggestions would be more than welcome.

Bob

Well for the floppy and installing, yes you can install from a floppy. Just mount and go from there.
Now about the sound and ethernet, you might want to go to the peanut linux site, I am not famaliar with this Distro yet or experimented with it yet, but was lloking into it. Your best bet is to go to their site for any documentation on how to setup sound or find out if their distro comes initially with sound configurations tools with drivers.
