I installed a new gentoo on my new ThinkPad X240. I installed systemd directly. I tried to configure my computer and currently have problems with supend. So far, when I type systemctrl suspend, my notebook switches to the supspend mode. The power button blinks slowly as expected in this mode. The problem is, I have no idea how to start my notebook again:
Neither key press, nor lid open-close nor pressing the power button has ANY effect. The only thing that helps is to press and hold the power button for same seconds to shutdown the notebook completly. The the notebook can be started again with another power button press, but it is a "fresh" reboot.
Where can I start to search for the problem. The is no log file for nothing hapening....
Any help is highly appreciated,
kind regards,
curator
Your kernel is newer than the one mentioned in the Ubuntu bug report, so maybe there is another regression affecting you. It might pay to submit a bug report yourself.
Seems resonable, but its first time reporting a bug. Any, to be honest, I have no idea where to post the bug and, even more, I have no idea which data to add.
1) Is it a kernel bug? Or have I only configured the kernel incorrectly?
2) In case of a OS bug? Which data to append?
I have ne "ErrorLog" or similar......
Edit: Hey there, I switched to Kernel 3.17.1. No change :-(
