i'm sorry, but what is keeping you from researching this problem yourself?
i'm pretty sure search phrases like
"linux system disk backup different filesystem"
or
"convert filesystem from ext4 to btrfs"
will throw up good results. it's the sort of sysadmin stuff that usually has very good articles/tutorials on the web.

i'd also like to ask: why do you think you need a non-journaling filesystem?

Probably not because file system is a part of system. During boot process kernel has to know what file system is used on root partition - grub possibly won't start anymore cause as I remember it uses modules it has to access during boot process. So such simple transfer would actually cause a lot of work later on to fix broken system. Perhaps not worthy to try. I only say that doing unusual things be ready for unusual problems.

Are you actually having a problem with this, or is it for a future copy? If the latter, I would suggest that you go ahead and try the copy and see if the operating system works on the new filesystem. You might find that you don't need to change initramfs at all, but if you do, then you can provide more detailed error messages and information on what's going wrong.
