System Structure SFTP & iobroker

Hello Linux community,
I have a question about the possible structure of my system. I want to perform two different tasks with a RasperryPi4 8GB. 1.
1. I have a printer that does not support SFTP etc., but only FTP. Therefore I would like to provide the Raspberry as FTP server, so that the printer can store scans there within the network. No problem up to here! But now comes the more difficult part, which I haven't managed yet. After storing the file on the Raspi, I want it to transfer it to my Synology NAS via a secure connection. This is outside my own network in the office. I have tried various approaches, for example using the Synology client or a combination of rclone and inotify. But I don't have a good solution yet.
2. iobroker should also run on the device I want to use for home control. Basically, all this doesn't need so much resources, but only the OS or whole base systems.
What do you think about this? How would you implement the whole thing? Many, many thanks for your help!
Best

If are you using FTP to receive scanned documents which the printer itself uploads to your RPi, then you can have Inotify watch the arrival directory for new documents via incron and a script:

Code:
$ incrontab -l
/home/ftp/uploads/ IN_CREATE,IN_MOVED_TO,IN_MODIFY /usr/local/bin/send_to_nas.sh $@$#
The, presumably if you NAS supports SFTP, the shell script can use the batch mode in the standard SFTP client to do an upload using an SSH key or an SSH certificate for uploads. Or if Synology NAS can support Rsync, that's another option and it, too, can use an SSH key or an SSH certificate for connecting.
