System Settings in linux mint

I have a problem with System Settings in linux mint. I pressed Panel and I got Panel Visibility and I pressed Auto Hide Panel. In my 32bit it worked all right with my cursor goes down and the panel rises up. In my 64bit it doesn’t do that. What’s wrong?

It would help to know what desktop evironment you are using.

How exactly does the panel behave? Please expand on what it does/does not do.

If the panel doesn't show up anymore so you cannot right-click on it to choose Panel Settings then just launch it from the command line
Code:
cinnamon-settings panel
