System Freezing During Boot

noob here.

I just installed Suse 9.3 on an old IBM Thinkpad 600x. After finally getting the installation to complete in failsafe mode, the system keeps freezing during boot.

As soon as it gets to "Starting Resource Manager", it feezes completely. I can log onto failsafe mode though.

Any suggestions on how to fix this? Do you need more info?

Thanks!

When ou log in in failsave mode you should have access to the system log (/var/log/messages file). Look into the log of last not succesful boot - there are timastamps in teh first column, so it should be easy). Browse it and see where is last message. Maybe there was an error? Post fragments you think that may be important.
