System date prob in dual boot RH9/XP

Whenever I set the date in either RH9 or XP the other OS doesn' seem to understand the existing date settings in a dual boot XP/RH9 scenario. Is there anyway to bring both the OS's to a mutual understanding?

Have you tried setting the system date in the bios?

Linux defaults to GMT, Greenwich Mean Time zone.
Booting Win98 used to be off by 4 or 5 hours,
EDT/EST Eastern Daylight/Standard Time zone.
You should ensure they both use the same zone.
The time is stored in the CMOS by both systems.
